This manual will guide you in setting up and customizing redirect buttons in your widget, which will direct your customers to your social media pages (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram), communication platforms (WhatsApp, phone number), and scheduling page (Calendly).
First, let’s go over how to show this module in your widget.
Display redirect buttons module in the widget #
Step 1: Navigate to ‘Chat widget’, then to ‘Module settings’.
Step 2: Go to the Redirect buttons module and turn on the toggle. The module will now show in your widget preview.
Step 3: Set up module title. For example, if the field is ‘Contact Us,’ the widget module will be ‘Contact Us’.
Step 4: Click ‘Save’ to apply your settings.
Now let’s set up the redirect buttons for this module.
We categorize our redirect buttons into three sections:
- Social media redirect buttons
- Communication platform redirect buttons
- Scheduling page redirect buttons
Set up redirect buttons for each platform #
Social media redirect buttons #
Step 1: Click on the redirect buttons settings section to display the settings below. Then choose the options—Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger—from the dropdown.
Step 2: Turn on the toggle for those options.
Step 3: Set up Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram redirect links and icons.
Facebook and Messenger links: Copy and paste the text after ‘facebook.com’ from your page.
Note: With Messenger, you can choose the option Autofill based on Facebook.
Instagram links:
- Choose where you want to redirect: your Instagram direct message or page
- Copy and paste the text after ‘instagram.com’ from your page
Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram icons: You can choose our default ones or upload your own icon.
Step 4 (Optional): Go to Advanced settings to set up:
- Prefilled message: Automatically fill the Messenger text field.
- Referral parameter: Track your traffic source.
Note: These settings are available for Messenger and Instagram direct message only.
Step 5: Click ‘Save’ to apply your settings
Communication platform redirect buttons #
You can redirect customers to contact you via WhatsApp or your mobile phone.
Step 1: Click on the redirect buttons settings section to display the settings below. Then choose the options—Mobile phone and WhatsApp—from the dropdown.
Step 2: Turn on the toggle for two options
Step 3: Set up phone number and icons
- WhatsApp number: Enter the phone number you’ve registered with WhatsApp
- Mobile phone number: Enter your mobile phone number
- WhatsApp and mobile phone Icons: You can choose our default ones or upload your own icon.
Step 4: Click ‘Save’ to apply your settings
Scheduling page redirect buttons #
You can set up redirect buttons to your Calendly booking page for easy access to schedule meetings.
Step 1: Click on the redirect buttons settings section to display the settings below. Then choose option—Calendly—from the dropdown.
Step 2: Turn on the toggle for Calendly.
Step 3: Set up your Calendly booking link and icons
- Calendly booking link: Copy and paste the text after ‘calendly.com’ from your page
- Calendly icon: You can choose our default ones or upload your own icon
Step 4: Click ‘Save’ to apply your settings
