What is a Help Widget #
The Help Widget is located at the bottom of your page, acting as a ticket-receiving gate for your help desk. Help Widget configuration involves setting up and customizing a form on your website that allows customers to submit support requests or inquiries directly to the MooseDesk helpdesk system.
Enable Help Widget on your store #
Step 1: To enable the widget on your store, navigate to the “Settings” > “Channel” tab, then click on “Go to Theme Editor.”
Step 2: Turn on the toggle for ‘Enable Chat Widget’, and then hit ‘Save’ to apply your settings.
That’s it! You’ve enabled the help widget on your store. You can check on your store to see how it looks.
Customize Help Widget #
Enabling Help Widget was just the beginning, now we need to make it match your store theme!
Navigate to “Settings” > “Channel” and then “Customize widget” to start customizing
Let’s go through some of the customization options that MooseDesk offers. There are three tabs
- Appearance: The “Appearance” tab allows you to customize your widget color, font, introductory messages, team status and visibility of the widget itself
- Module: The ‘Module‘ tab allows you to set up, customize, and display FAQs, an order tracking option, and a WhatsApp button directly within the widget.
- Translation: The “Translation” tab enables you to personalize translations for any text into your preferred language.

You can also preview different widget windows by selecting the preferred one in the dropdown list with options like Get Started windows, Closed window, Pre-chat info window, and After-submitted window.
