What is a Help Widget #
The Help Widget is located at the bottom of your page and serves as a comprehensive support tool. It offers instant assistance through redirect buttons to WhatsApp and social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook Messenger.
Customers can track orders, browse FAQs, access articles, engage in live chat, or submit tickets for detailed inquiries, ensuring seamless communication and efficient issue resolution.
Enable Help Widget on your store #
Step 1: To enable the widget on your store, navigate to ‘Online Store,’ then ‘Theme,’ and click on ‘Customize‘.
Step 2: Turn on the toggle for ‘Enable Chat Widget’, and then hit ‘Save’ to apply your settings.
That’s it! You’ve enabled the help widget on your store. You can check on your store to see how it looks.
Customize Help Widget #
Enabling Help Widget was just the beginning, now we need to make it match your store theme!
Navigate to “Chat widget” to start customizing
We offer three widget skins for your store. To choose one, use the switcher on the right side of the widget. The selected skin will appear on your storefront.
Let’s go over some of the customization options that MooseDesk offers for all three skins. There are four tabs.
- General: The General tab allows you to customize widget functions like Live Chat, Ticket, Redirect buttons, Order Tracking, and FAQ, with options to show or hide them, and to set up introductory messages and auto-replies for ticket submissions.
- Styling: The Styling tab lets you adjust the widget’s color, font, icon, position, and advanced settings like spacing, display timing, and hiding the widget on specific devices.
- Translation: The Translation tab allows you to set up widget translations and configure language switcher settings
- Advanced: The Advanced tab allows you to create deep links to direct customers to specific widget sections and add custom code to customize your chat widget.

You can also preview different widget windows by selecting the preferred one in the dropdown list with options like Get Started windows, Closed window, Pre-chat info window, and After-submitted window.
