This article will help you understand how to add a MooseDesk page to Shopify navigation menu
IMPORTANT: Enable MooseDesk app in store theme #
To display MooseDesk pages on your Online Store, you need to enable MooseDesk in your theme.
- Step 1: In MooseDesk app, click on FAQ builder > Page editor
- Step 2: Click “Enable app embed”.
- Step 3: From there you will be directed to the Online Store theme. Turn on the “Enable FAQs” plugin from MooseDesk and click “Save”
- Step 4: Comeback to MooseDesk app on another tab. If you see the yellow banner disappear, it means that you have successfully enabled MooseDesk.
You can also proactively enable the embed app in Shopify Online Store with these simple steps:
- Step 1: Navigate to Shopify Online Store > Theme
- Step 2: Click “Customize”
- Step 3: Click on the App Tab () on the left panel. From there, turn on MooseDesk FAQ plugin “Enable FAQ” and click “Save”
Add MooseDesk pages to Shopify menu navigation #
To add MooseDesk pages to Shopify menu navigation, make sure that your page is published. You can learn how to publish a MooseDesk page here
When a page is published, it will have its own page URL that can be found in the page setting. Find your page URL here:
- Step 1: In “Page editor” tab, find the page you want to get page URL
- Step 2: Click the “Settings” icon () on the right hand side of the page list > Click “Edit information” > Copy the Page URL
- Step 3: Navigate to the Online Store > Navigation > Click “Footer menu” or “Main menu” based on your desire place you want to add MooseDesk pages to
- Step 4: Click “Add menu item” > Paste your MooseDesk page URL and name the menu > Click “Add”
What happens if I unpublish a MooseDesk page #
If you unpublish a MooseDesk page, when you go to its page URL, the page will show a 404 error.
So if you want to unpublish a page, make sure it is not attached to any manu navigation to prevent negative UX experience when customers go through your store.
